Jerusalem, Israel – President Javier Milei has arrived in Jerusalem, embarking on a deeply symbolic and strategically significant visit aimed at solidifying Argentina’s unwavering geopolitical alliance with Israel. Following productive engagements in Europe, President Milei’s presence in the Holy Land underscores his profound personal connection to the Jewish people and his steadfast commitment to defending shared values of freedom and justice.

Upon his arrival, President Milei immediately proceeded to the historic Wailing Wall, where he engaged in a moment of solemn prayer. His presence quickly drew recognition from fellow worshippers, who enthusiastically chanted “Milei, Milei!” The President reiterated his unwavering support for the people of Israel, articulating his conviction that their cause represents a “just cause for the West.”

He was warmly received by distinguished religious figures, including Rabbi Shmuel Rabinowitz and Mordejai Eliav, who expressed their gratitude for his staunch defense of Israel. A visibly moved President Milei recited a chapter from the Psalms, offered a special prayer for the safe return of hostages held by Hamas, and inscribed “Freedom for Zion” in the visitors’ book, reaffirming his profound solidarity.

President Milei’s visit includes high-level meetings with Israeli President Isaac Herzog and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. These discussions build upon previous interactions, such as his impactful tour of Nir Oz, a kibbutz tragically attacked by Hamas, where his legal perspective on international terrorism as state terrorism deeply impressed President Herzog. He will also meet with families of Argentinians abducted by Hamas, reiterating his absolute commitment to their freedom.

Further cementing his global stance, President Milei is scheduled to deliver a powerful speech in the Knesset, advocating passionately for Israel against antisemitism and condemning terrorist attacks by Iran-backed groups. In recognition of his unwavering geopolitical position, he will be honored with the prestigious Jewish Nobel Prize, the accompanying million-dollar award of which he plans to generously donate to anti-terrorism and anti-antisemitism campaigns across Latin America. His landmark visit will culminate with the signing of a Memorandum for Democracy and Freedom with Prime Minister Netanyahu and a lecture at the Hebrew University, before his return to Madrid and then Buenos Aires.
