Buenos Aires, Argentina – The government of President Javier Milei has filed a formal complaint with the Federal Justice system, alleging an illegal intelligence operation attributed to the Kirchnerist faction. According to presidential spokesperson Manuel Adorni, the operation involves the recording, manipulation, and selective dissemination of private conversations belonging to the Secretary General of the Presidency, Karina Milei, and other government officials.

The administration argues that these recordings were edited and taken out of context with the clear objective of causing political damage and destabilizing the country during a crucial electoral moment, just days before the elections in the province of Buenos Aires. The government maintains that there is no evidence of any wrongdoing or illicit activity by Karina Milei or any other official targeted in the alleged scheme.

The complaint is aimed at identifying those responsible for this operation and holding them criminally accountable for the illegal manipulation and distribution of the recordings. The Milei government frames this as a desperate attempt by Kirchnerism to influence public opinion in a critical electoral context, as they face elections that could diminish their political standing, while La Libertad Avanza seeks to strengthen its parliamentary representation.
