In a recent interview on Neura, President Javier Milei criticized actor Ricardo Darín for his comments on the cost of empanadas in Argentina, labeling him as “ignorant” and a “cheap operator.” Milei accused Darín of attempting to appear “national and popular” while demonstrating a lack of understanding of the country’s economic situation.
Addressing the ongoing controversy surrounding the Garrahan Hospital, Milei attributed the institution’s financial and administrative issues to the previous Kirchnerist administration. He claimed that the former government had created numerous unnecessary administrative positions, diverting resources away from medical professionals. Milei stated that efforts to eliminate these inefficiencies are being politicized, with critics accusing his administration of undermining public healthcare.
The President emphasized that his administration has increased funding to the hospital but insists on implementing measures such as biometric attendance controls to ensure accountability and efficiency. He argued that these reforms are essential to redirect resources to where they are most needed and to restore integrity in public institutions.
